My cuatomer use Fairchild FSA8049.
currently, i would like to use TS3A226AE replacment.
But FSA8049 hasn't connect TIP(CEXT) pin, TS3A226AE decribe need connect to left channel.
i would like check, is there any issue if direct replace FSA8049?

You must connect the tip pin of all TI audio jack devices in order for them to properly execute the detection sequence.
The main difference between the Fairchild audio jacks and the TI audio jacks is the way the device run their proprietary detection algorithms. The TI audio jacks switches use the TIP, Ring2, and Sleeve pins of the audio jack to do the detection and the Fairchild audio jack device use the Ring2 and Sleeve pins of the audio jack for their detection.

Why are you looking at using the TS3A226AE vs the FSA8049? Is there some issue in your design you are tying to resolve?
