TS5A3359: Current required on the digital control input lines to register a high or low

Part Number: TS5A3359

Hello Team,

I have a customer who is looking for the following information on TS5A3359:

What current is required at the digital input pins to register as a high for a switch powered at 5V, but using a 3.3V digital signal. I could not find this info in the data sheet that says how much current must be sunk to activate the digital pin.

Can this information be provided to the customer?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Kishen

  • Kishen,

The digital control pin that toggles the TS5A3359 to different signal paths does not sink any current to be valid.  The only requirement is that the voltage is >2.4 V to be a valid logic high input.  The digital control input is also high impedance and you can see this by the digital input leakage current spec in the datasheet.

The TS5A3359 signal path is like a passive FET switch.  You can see more information on how these types of devices work on the post below.

    Thank you,

    Adam

  • Thank you Adam. I appreciate this.

    Sincerely,

    Kishen
