SN74CB3Q16811: Usage for Video Data switching - Auto Qual Device

           Our Customer has a use case of switching a Parallel Video Data from 2 Sources. They are considering to use SN74CB3Q16811 for this need. Since this is for a Automotive Infotainment use case they want us to suggest a Q1-grade device option. 300Mhz Bandwidth should do.  Any suggestions for meeting this need?

    Unfortunately, we do not have a Q1-Grade mulitplexiers that can meet 300MHz video requirement. Is the customer pusuing the device or are they considering using 2:1 video mux for future design.

    In terms of 2:1 video mux, we actually have many great candidates in our commerical rating portfolio. TS3V713EL is fully optimized for video application. Would you please review TS3V713EL to see if customer is actually looking into this type of devices?


    Once we get your feedback, we will discuss how to meet their Q1 requirement.

              Thanks. I see this device is targeted for One source and two end point 1:2 Applications. Our need is for a 2 Source , 1 End point 2:1 Application. Can you suggest a device for this need? Also, which is the Q1 grade device (roadmap as well) with highest Bandwidth as of today ?

    For 2:1 bi-directional video MUX, TS3V712E is Q1 potential candidate. For your applicaiton today, the best we would recommend is using TS3USB221A-Q1. TS3USB221A-Q1 can be viewed as 2 channel SPDT. For example, if your customer is using 5-wire video, they will need three TS3USB221A-Q1.

    As for Q1 roadmap of high speed MUX, we will create Q1 grade devices as customers request. Thanks for letting us know this customer's request. It is very important for us to plan more Q1 devices for high speed application.

    Requirement is for switching 24 bits of parallel data with a 2:1 Mux, making the TS3USB221A-Q1 impractical to employ. Is there a plan to Auto Qual device series of SN74CB3Q16811 or any such device with atleast 12 bit data support? Also, from existing portfolio viewpoint, would SN74CB3Q16811 be the best fit for this need or is there any other suggestion for accomplishing this?

    Besides SN74CB3Q16811, We have mutiple 24 bit bus cross switches such as SN74CB3T16212, SN74CBT16212C, SN74CBTLV16212, SN74CBT16212A, SN74CBT16213, SN74CBTS16212.

    I would like to contact you to learn which part you think is better for Q1 cadidate.
