There is some high risk mainly due to the difference in the width of the bulk (~4.4mm [E1] on the original, ~5.3mm on ours). The extra width takes out the landing area for the pins. Considering nominal values for everything and assuming perfect centering, see quick picture below, showing that the actual soldering area has been reduced to .2mm on each side:
If I use max width values (which, although unlikely, are still within spec), it gets downright impossible.
