Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A227E, TS3A226AE
Hi Team,
One of our customer is designing a audio circuitry and have a headphone jack in the system that can support both CTIA/OMTP configurations. Depending on the configuration type, MIC and Sleeve pins of jack are swapped. To identify it and connect the right mic signal and ground to the codec they are using TS3A225E. This IC takes care of the CTIA/OMTP swapping. The system also requires the feature of key press detection from headset. This is achieved in the codec by sensing the Mic input. In a normal scenario the mic input will be connected directly to audio codec. But in this case the mic input is passing through the TI TS3A225E for configuration detection.
Can TS3A225E cause any hindrance to key detection process. FYI the key detection process is done by measuring the impedance variation that is caused during key press between the mic and ground. So will this device cause any impedance variation that will disturb the Key press detection ?
Please help with your valuable comment son the same to address this query.
Thanks in advance for your help and support.
