Hi team,
My customer would like to evaluate TS3A226AE where it was built on their board and would like to do some testing. CTIA headsets are common (they have), however, they do not have OMPT headsets.
They are asking if OMTP headsets are still common in the market?
Thanks.
Best regards,

Gim,
Here is a chart of some common devices that use OMTP standard. Nokia was one of the largest players in using the OMTP standard but have lost market share over the years so the OMTP standard is less prevalent in the market as a result. Some of our customers are even choosing not to support the OMTP devices at all and make the end user buy an adapter if they would like to support OMTP headset.
I did a google search for some headsets and found this link from Walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/Wired-Headset-Gaming-OMTP-Microphone-Headphone-with-Mic-3-5mm-for-PC-Computer-On-Clearance/771147035. I’m not sure about this product as the picture has a 3 pole headset and not a 4pole but the description says OMTP.
Here is a link from ebay that looks more promising but expensive https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZTE-HMZ8-C4-OMTP-Headset-for-ZTE-Blade-Skate-Spirit-Black-OEM-New/272575095975?epid=1323695282&hash=item3f76bde4a7:g:deEAAOSwTM5YuGc6
Thank you,
Adam
