TS5A3159: The value of pull-down resistor

Part Number: TS5A3159

Hi,

When add a 10K pull-down resistor at pin IN, the voltage of IN is only 1.0V even the Pull-high voltage is 3.3V.  Change 10K to 100K, result is the same, but voltage getting 3.3V after remove pull-down resistor.

1. What is the input resistor?

2. What value of resistor TI recommend?

3. For the initial state, TI recommend pin IN should initial high or initial low?

Thank you.

C.T.

  • Hi C.T.,

You can use a weak pull down resistor in the MΩ range to avoid higher current consumption issues.

What is your application scenario? The TS5A3159 has a default state with logic low means NC( normally closed) is connected to COM and logic high means NO( normally opened) is connected to COM.

    Thank you,

    Helen
