The data sheet of the TSP1H000-Q1 states pin 1 is 'Input control for output activation; internal pulldown' . The device is also built for microprovessor control. Can I output a high pin from an UNO directly to turn on the switch?

Newbe working on project for 12v truck.

Section 6.5 of the datasheet (VIH) guarantees that a high level is detected with 2 V.

Thanks for comeback. The Arduino uno will put out 5v on a pin when set high. Can this be direcly wired to pin 1 or should a resister be used to limit current?

A series resistor and the internal pulldown would form a voltage divider.

The TPS1H000-Q1 itself does not require a current limit (see figures 20/21), but section 7.3.6.6 recommends to protect the microprocessor (I don't know in which situation the TPS would output a voltage from the IN pin).

Hello,
The series resistor between the microcontroller is in case of reverse polarity. This resistor will limit the current into the pin of the TPS1H000-Q1. If you are not concerned about a reverse battery or polarity event happening you can leave off this series resistor.

In my nativity I ordered 5 of these expecting it to be large enough to solder a wire too - was I surprised.

Is there a socket or some other device to gain access to the pins?

I ordered the lm7805 to power uno. Its of a size I can manage. I am planning to use uno to power a high side switch.Is there a larger equivalent of PS1H000-Q1 that I can solder wires to breadboard what I am trying. I need to control 6 12v blubs on a truck. I suspect 1 bulb would fry the PS1H000-Q1. The picture provided threw me off.
