SN74LVC1G3157: Check the Internal Circuit of PIN6 if it has internal pull-up or pull-down

Part Number: SN74LVC1G3157
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1574

Consult: please help to confirm the internal circuit of PIN6 to check whether the PIN6 has a internal pull down?

Thank you

  • Xing,

PIN6 does not include an internal pull up or pull down.  You can see that the datasheet recommends placing an external resistor to keep the select pin from floating.

  • Adam,

    Thank you.

My customer find in test without external pull-up or pull-down resistor, the floating state is in low voltage level.

They want to know whether the Pin6 has a default state in high voltage level or low voltage level?  Does it have other parameters make the Pin6 have an equivalent pull-up or pull-down internal resistor.

  • Xing,

The SN74LVC1G3157 doesn't have a defined default state which is why it is recommended to have a pull up or pull down to keep it from floating.  In my experience testing the switches products it will usually default to one state or the other over many power up sequences but it is not guaranteed by the datasheet.

If you need a 2:1 switch with internal pull down resistors you can use the TMUX1574.

    Thank you,

    Adam
