Hello Team,

Can CD74HC4051-Q1 replace 74HC4851PW-Q100? The nexperia part pin 7 is NC where the VEE pin of the TI part is dedicated.

What is the function of VEE pin?

    Hi Joern,

    It depends how the 74HC4851-Q100 is being used in the system if the CD74HC4051-Q100 can be a suitable replacement. The VEE pin is the most negative power supply rail and is used for dual supply voltage applications.

    The 74HC4851-Q100 has an additional feature called current injection control. For a true replacement you should use the TI SN74HC4851-Q1.
