CD74HC4067: Different signal value from CD74HC4067 multiplexer

Part Number: CD74HC4067

Dear TI Team,

I have connected 16 piezoresistive sensors to a CD74HC4067 mux (www.sparkfun.com/.../9056) which is connected to a non-inverting amplifier circuit an then to a microcontroller.

I have calibrated each sensor with the use of a standalone non-inverting amplifier (without mux) and I noticed that I have a different reading than when the sensor is connected to the mux and the amplifier.

I checked 6 sensors in the mux+opamp configuration and I noticed that their value (@ max weight) is about 10% lower than their value with the use of the standalone opamp configuration.

Could you please advise me what would be a possible cause of this difference? Perhaps an internal resistance in the mux?

What could be a solution to this problem? Should I re-calibrate the sensors connected this time to the mux?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,

George
