Dear Sirs

I'm using the ADS1259 Delta/Sigma ADC. I will be multiplexing 4 differential signal into the ADC. I'm looking at the TMUX1109 and the MUX36D04 analog multiplexers. I'm not sure which is the better choice. Does anyone have a recommendation and why?

Hi Dennis,

The TMUX1109 is a great choice for you if you need to line up with the power supply rails of the ADS1259 (5V, or ±2.5V).

The TMUX1109 is part of TI's precision mux/switch portfolio which features ultra-low leakage current, low-charge injection, and Ron flatness. These parameters can impact performance in a system targeting high precision (assuming this is you since you are using a 24-bit ADC). What differential signals are you passing into your ADC?

Because all the power supply voltages are single sided, +5vdc, the differential voltages will be single sided. I'm using the differential to reduce CMN. Can you tie the outputs to one of the inputs to short the ADC inputs together for input offset calibration?

Hi Dennis,

Yes, the inputs of the TMUX1109 can be connected together.
