TS3DV642: TS3DV642 HPD question

Part Number: TS3DV642

Hi there

A quick question as below from our customer:

When can the software judge (sel1 or sel2) to switch to A chanel or B chanel? Is the TS3DV642 HPD first detected (HPD_A or HPD_B) that there is a level change to switch A Chanel or B chane?

If the A port is inserted into the DP device, the HPD_A port detects a high level insertion, and then HPD_A is connected to the HPD, and this signal is transmitted to the HPD on the DP ic.
If the A port is inserted into the DP device (there is no HPD pin), the HPD_A port will not detect the signal insertion. At this time, the HPD_A and the HPD are not connected, and the data will not be switched to the A Chanel.

Besides using HPD, you can also use AUX as a detection mechanism. When AUX+ line DC voltage is L level, it means a DP upstream device is connected. When AUXline DC voltage is H level, it means that a powered DP upstream device is connected.

    Thanks
