Please help me select a multiplexers chip

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CD4067B

Hi, team

Could you please help me select a specific part number in multiplexers? here are the requirements.

         1. there are 10 input signals which includes digital signals , 10V analog signals and a 5V,10Khz signal.

         2. the output signal from the MUX is connected to the MCU I/O.

         3. I want the I/O used in MCU  should be as less as possible and the cost is as low as possible.

  • Hi Zhihong,

I used to the TI Mux and Switch product selection page to narrow down the results based on your requirements.

Please give the selection table a try for future request such as this - and we can help narrow clarify any performance questions or part differences you may find.

By filtering on a device with at least 10 inputs, and needs to support up to 10V signals, focusing on cost optimized I narrowed it down to the CD4067B

However - are you sure your MCU can handle 10V input signals? Most MCUs cannot support such high voltages and will require a gain stage in front of the MCU.

  • Hi, Dakotah

Firstly, the chip you recommended meets my customer's  requirement, and  I appreciate your work .Moreover, the 10V signals will be connected to a amplifier and shrunk before it is transferred to the MCU, but I didn't mark this module on the previous blog.
