TS5A3159A: Isolation in Power-Down Mode

Part Number: TS5A3159A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A3159

Dear, support Team.

TS5A3159A has Isolation in Power-Down Mode, V + = 0.
Does this mean that voltage can be applied to the input even when there is no power supply voltage?
Absolute maximum rating input is up to Vs + 0.5V.
But this is the same as the A-less version of TS5A3159.
The characteristics of Off isolation are the same.

  • Hi Hiroaki,

Thanks for using our e2e forum.

The performance in the recommended operating conditions and electrical specifications is supported by TI.  You can see that TS5A3159A supports isolation when V+= 0 in the leakage spec.  The abs max condition would apply to cases where V+ does not equal 0V.

Please see another e2e post at this link that explains the TS5A3159 and TS5A3159A behavior in Power-Down Mode, V + = 0.

    Thanks

    Saminah

  • Hi,Saminah-san,

Thank you for your reply and advice.
I understood the meaning of isolation when V+= 0.
