TS5A23157-Q1: if this device recommended for 2:1 mux for UART application

I consider to use TS5A23157-Q1 in the prototype and in the final PCB design I plan to use TS3A5223, Could you please advise if these devices recommended for 2:1 mux for UART application?

Hi Shai,

Do you know the supply voltage you need for your application?

If your UART signal voltage and bandwidth is within the recommended operating conditions, you can use TS5A23157-Q1. or TS3A5223. Most switches can support UART signals because of their low speeds.

You can also use the switch selection tool on TI.com to optimize your search.

Thanks for your promted reply, I need 2 channel (RX and TX of UART) with 3.3v signal voltage and low bandwidth.

Hi Shai,

Yes, you can use both TS5A23157-Q1. or TS3A5223. However, if you compare both parts, TS3A5223 supports lower bandwidth and comes in smaller package.
