Hi there,

My customer has a similar application as below link, but they just use TMUX136 to switch 1.25Gbps LVPECL. 10G CML is switched by HD3SS3202. Here are two questions for TMUX136.

1. the channel structure is PMOS or PMOS to NMOS back to back?

2. Customer will use EN to switch the channel like a SPST. In switch off, I saw the switch off capacitance in datasheet. How about the high-Z resistance in ohm?

These two questions are for the signal integrity evaluation in this project, which is the key concern.

    Hi Jerry,

    1. The TMUX136 is an N channel CMOS device with its gate biased by a charge pump

    2. The TMUX136 has a feature that will ensure the I/O path remains Hi-Z even when Vcc = 0V.

    You can look at the leakage current specs in the datasheet and the test conditions you can use V=IR to estimate the off resistance.    

    Max test voltage / Max leakage current = Off resistance

    As an example, for port B switch: Off Resistance =  3.6 V / 10uA = 360k ohms
