Hi,

We have requirement as below:

1) We have differential ended output from 2 analog sensors which we need to connect to controller,

2) We need to read data alternatively from each sensor

3) We need 21 such channels (each channel shall read data from either of the 2 sensors)

Could you please suggest any solution available for the same.

So you need 2:1 (SPDT) switches with 42 (2 per differential input) channels.

There is no single device with that many channels, so you have to combine three smaller ones.

Hi,

Thanks for your the suggestion, below are couple of questions on the same:

1) Is the below truth table true, considering channel 1 and Channel 2

L	H	1B1	2B1
H	H	1B2	2B2

2) Can we interface Analog outputs of Current Integrator to these switches, or do you see any concern with regard to signal

1. Yes, you want to connect the common A pin to exaclty one of the B pins. (For this synchronous switch, the change takes effect only on a rising clock edge.)

2. Most of these switches have an on-resistance of about 5 Ω.

Hi,

We need switch which can work on Dual supply range +/- 20 V also if possible it shall have over voltage protection.

Apparently, TI does not make 40 V switches.

What is the maximum voltage available.

The maximum is 36 V (± 18 V), with the two-channel TMUX6136. At ± 10 V, there is the three-channel CD4053B.

Hi Kiran,

Here is the link to the device search tool when you are looking for 2:!, differential switch with +/-10V to +/- 18 V.

As Clemens's mentioned, you would have to combine them to get the number of channels.
