SN74LVC1G3157: Adjust Select Threshold

Part Number: SN74LVC1G3157
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV7011, TLV4041

Hello,

I have a question regarding the SN74LVC1G3157 analog switch. The device function is ideal for me, but I’d like to adjust the select threshold from roughly .7vcc to a fixed 4.1V. Is there a creative minimal circuit option to do this or a different similar small footprint IC?

Best,

Adam

  • Hi Adam,

What is your application for which you need a input voltage high level (VIH) of 4.1V? Most of our switches support 3.3V logic levels (VIH ~= 2 - 2.4 V) and some newer switches feature 1.8V logic level compatibility, so these VIH thresholds will be lower than what you need.

What is the supply voltage and signal path voltage for your system? Could you provide a block diagram or schematic?

    Thank you!

    Kate

  • If you want a fixed threshold (as opposed to a certain range VIL…VIH), you have to add a comparator. Some small options with built-in hysteresis and push-pull output are TLV4041 or TLV7011.
