1. can it be used with cmos (2.5v) and LVDS , out of 16 bits 8 bits are LVDS and remaining 8 are cmos but to be used only one type at a time .
2. how much output capacitance it can drive , in case i put it after a LVDS buffer in one case and after a cmos buffer in other case will it be capable to drive the fpga which is on the other pcb (two boards are connected by fmc)
Hi Suhel,
Can you share a block diagram of your application for better understanding? How did you come across the TS3L500AE?
For LVDS, you can use any standard CMOS switch that has enough bandwidth and covers the needed voltage range. Please let me know you detailed application so we can help you find the best solution.
Thanks
Saminah
i have two ADC'S in a board one is having CMOS25 standard (ads5421) other one has serial LVDS outputs. both are feeding the common FPGA but not simultaneously so i wanted to shift the fpga input pins from LVDS section to CMOS Section like a SPDT bus for that purpose i need a mux kind of thing which can work in both situations
Hi Suhel,
Thank you for sharing the details.
Based on your block diagram, you can use:
You can also use the TS3L500AE. Based on your supply voltage, input signal range and bandwidth requirements, you can choose form these switches or look at our device search tool here.
Thanks
Saminah
Thank you Saminah, will it ( TS5MP645 ) work when two systems are not very close (typically 10 inches apart) because initially i was planning to use a buffer
