TS12A12511: TS12A12511 output issue in GaN MOS

Part Number: TS12A12511
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2904

Hi,

We are using the TS12A12511 to choose -5V and -3V to control Gate voltage of GaN MOS.

NC is -5V, NO is -3V. V- is -5V, V+ is 5V. IN is 0V and 3V change.

In theory, the COM should be -3V and -5V controlled by IN.

But you can see below signal. It is normal when -3V changed to -5V. But when -5V changed to -3V, there is -4.5V in the meanwhile.

Can you help resolve this issue?

Thanks

Saminah

  • Hello,

Thank you for posting to E2E.

Could you let me know what the load capacitance is on the NO and COM pins?

Additionally, what is the time scale of the waveform you provided? What is the duration of the -4.5V signal?

    Thank you!

    Kate

  • Hi Kate,

The time of -4.5V almost 20ms.

Today, we found the voltage issue is also from before -3V input.

When the IN change from 3V to 0V, the -3V input from ahead LM2904 influenced by the change. The output of LM2904 have a 20ms -4.5V time. Normally it should always be -3V.

Is there any technic point could make TS12A12511 IN controlling influence LM2904 output voltage?

I send you an email with OPA team, hope for your analysis and comments.

  • "It is a system level problem. And due to our LM2904 is not out Rail to Rail amplifier. So this problem appeared."
