TMUX1108: Muxing Megaohms resistors

Part Number: TMUX1108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP7721, , LEADLESS-ADAPTER1

Hi team,

I need your suggestion.

The customer needs to make a resistance reading.

The problem arises from the fact that the reading must be done with the A / D input of a micro and that the resistances to be read are 8 with a value from 1Mohm upwards.

The LMP7721 component might be the right one for low offset currents.

  1. Which MUX can you suggest before the LMP able to work with Mega ohms?
  2. Do you see any problem using this approach?
  3. Do you have any collateral that you can share?

Regards,

Fabio

  • Hi Fabio,

This sounds like a great opportunity to implement the TMUX1108 mux for your measurement application, due to low Ron, low leakage current, and the 8:1 configuration. I do not see an issue with high impedance resistors.

Online collateral related to specific devices can be found in the device product folder, in the Technical Documentation and Support & Training tabs, as shown:

This will lead you to app notes, articles, relevant E2E posts, and videos.

    Best regards,
    Kate

  • Hi Kate,

Is there an EVM available with TMUX1108?

In case not for 1108, can you suggest an evm of the same family?

    Regards,

    Fabio

  • Hi Fabio,

The product folder also shows this information in the 'Design & development' tab:

You can use the LEADED- or LEADLESS-ADAPTER1 depending on the package.

    Best regards,
    Kate
