Hi Team,
There is a period (approximately 1.5ms) when the voltage applied to the S1 and S2 pins exceeds the supply power(Vcc) at that timing.
I mean following condition might be existd in their circuit at start up timing and my customer concerns device gets a damage in this condition.
Vi> Vcc + 0.5V
Iin = 0.6mA * Vi current is about 0.6mA in customer's circuit and is limited by resistance.
So, I have been asked from the customer if this condition is acceptable or not.
Then, I look at the data sheet, I can find the following spec.
I understand as following from the spec though, Could you review if my understanding is correct or not?
The S1 and S2 Pins have protection diodes against ESD event but the internal diode will not be destroyed if its current is limited by less than ± 20mA.
Therefore, this IC will not be destroyed in the condition.
