Hi team,

My customer used this device to switch 2 speakers from single amplifier, and they observed unexpected sound on the shut down channel, which indicate the channel is not fully shutdown. 

The current they need to drive is about 300mA, which I think is much overspec from datasheet. Strange thing is the device is not broken.

Do you think I'm right on above? How do you recommend to do this switch?

    Hi George,

    The absolute maximum rating of SN74LVC1G3157 on-state switch current is +/- 128mA. Stresses beyond this rating may cause permanent damage and functional operation is not implied.

    For audio applications with higher on-state switch current requirements, I recommend looking at TS5A22362. Let me know if this switch meets your requirements.
