TMUX1134: Vdd=0.8V/Vss=-2.5V operation

Hi team,

My customer considers to use the device with Vdd=0.8V/Vss=-2.5 supply voltage.

And logic level is Hi=0.8V/Lo=0V.

Is this usage okay for this device?

I'm concerned about if the device and internal logic can work such a low Vdd voltage even though total supply voltage is 3.3V.

    Hi Shota,

    For TMUX1134, the recommended operating conditions for dual supply is Vss range to be within -2.75~ 0V, and Vdd (Single supply) to be within 1.08V~5.5V.

    So Vdd=0.8V in single supply scenario would exceed the recommended operating conditions. Please see below for the TMUX1134 datasheet recommended operating conditions

    What is your customer's application scenario?

    As for VDD range specified in the datasheet, it shows (single).

    Does this condition also apply to dual supply voltage?

    Hi Shota,

    This device is a 5.5V single supply or a ±2.75V dual supply mux. For dual supply, the difference between VSS and VDD need to b between 1.08V~5.5V.

    You have  total difference of 3.3V between VDD and VSS - your VIH and  VIIL specs need to be similar to the 3.3V supply Electrical Characteristics table.

    Also, to avoid any potential issues with VDD being so low, I would recommend to increase VDD to meet the min value for VDD rating of 1.08V if you are using dual supply and shift the negative rails up if you want to keep 3.3V as ±dual supply range.
