TS5A3157: Offset at NO pin

Part Number: TS5A3157

Hi All,

I am interested what are differences between TS5A3157DCKR marked with "JC5" and "JCR"?

We have a device that uses TS5A3157DCKR as a analog demultiplexer (COM is an input) working with 1 kHz signal on IN pin. Supply voltage is 3V3. Input voltage on COM pin is most of the time in range 0 - 120 mV. When we use part with marking JCR everything is working fine, but when we change it with part marked with JC5 we get negative offset of around 30 mV on NO pin!

What we can do to remove this offset? Is it related with charge injection? Are charge injection figures different for JC5 and JCR?

Regards,

Vukadin.

  • Hi Vukadin!

With regards to the markings on the TS5A3157DCKR, the difference between the packages stamped “JC5” and “JCR” is that the site of fabrication differs. Besides fabrication facility, the chips are parametrically equivalent and should function the same.

If you could post oscilloscope screen shots showing the output and input of each part, so that I could see the discrepancy between graphs, and so I can better understand the issue that you are experiencing.

Also what are you trying to use the switch for?

    Regards,

  • Hi Parker,

    Thank you for your reply.

It is some client's proprietary hardware, so I am not allowed to share more information.
