Hello team,

My customer wants to build a 16: 1 multiplexer using two 8: 1 multiplexers like the TMUX1308.

In that case, is it possible to connect Ax and Ex of two ICs in common to minimize the control pins from the microcomputer?

If you have any good suggestions or application examples, please advise.

Yes; the Ax and EN pins are high-impedance CMOS inputs and can be driven with a high fanout.

Thank you for using E2E.If you are planning on controlling both MUX together, then I agree with Clemens statement above. However, if you are planning on controlling both MUX separately, I would suggest not connecting EX and AX of both ICs together.

TMUX1308 also offers features like 1.8-V compatible control inputs, break-before-make, Fail-safe logic, and Injection current control.
