Asking for the RF switch design recommendation

Hi Sir,

My customer would like design RF PE42462 and PE42412 switch.

Would you please provide recommendation to replace this?

  • Hi SHH,

TI currently doesn't characterize or market it's signal switches as "RF" switches.  Typically, the term "RF" switch refers to a device that can handle a large amount of power and is on a GaN or GaAs process.  TI's signal switches are on a CMOS process and will not handle the same amount of power most people think of when they use the term "RF" switch.

The TMUX136 is our highest-bandwidth switch with bandwidth support of 6GHz.

  • Hi Saminah,

    thanks for feedback.

    TMUX136 is SPDT.

Customer nees SP6T or SP4T. Do you have recommendation?

  • Hi SHH,

We have few parts supporting high bandwidth. The TMUX136 is our highest-bandwidth switch with bandwidth support of 6GHz.

Using the device search tool, you can filter on the analog switches that support 2Ghz bandwidth or higher. You can look at the TMUX1511 (1:1, 4 ch, BW~3GHz) or TMUX1574 (2:1, 4 ch, BW~2GHz).
