V By One - Mux Switch

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1308, TMUX6208

Hi All,

As title, do we have this kind of switch? any CHs, thanks.

  • Hey Andrew,

We don't have any 5:1 multiplexers. Your best bet would be a 8:1 multiplexer. It would still use the same amount of select pins and we have 8:1 devices that are still minimal in size so having the 3 extra channels won't be too impactful. In this setup though, it's recommended to just tie the unused pins to GND via a 50ohm resistor in high speed applications though. If the speeds aren't so high and component count is a concern, you can leave them floating or tied down.

What's the application? The TMUX1308 is a good 1ch 8:1 general purpose mux that comes in both the SOT-23-THN (8mm^2) and WQFN (9mm^2) packages. If you're looking for negative voltage support the new TMUX6208 is a low leakage precision mux that may fit your application more.

With more info about your application and characteristics of the signal passing through (e.g. frequency, voltage) I can help narrow down your choices and pick the right one!
