e2e,
I know the TS3A227E is used to detect LRG/LRGM and LRMG but may I consult with you if it can also support MMG as well?
Thank you,
Adam

Hello,
Thanks for posting to E2E.
What device are you using that has a 3-pole MMG plug? Could you explain or provide a block diagram of how you would like to route your system & what ports on the codec you would like to interface?
TS3A227E should detect that this is a 3-pole jack, as in this case the Sleeve is GND.
The TIP pin is used for detection trigger and the signal is not routed to the output of the switch. The Ring pin of the jack is not electrically connected to the switch. So, TS3A227E will help your codec detect that a 3-pole jack has been inserted, but additional components/circuitry may be needed to conduct the two M pins (Tip/Ring) to the codec as you would like.
Let me know if this helps.
Best regards,
Kate
