Exporting projects to standard make file system

Hi Team,

In the manual of CCS V3.3, there is a section(Section 4.3.3) refers to export the project to standard make file format, which it can be build through GMAKE utility. It is also talks about DosRun.bat to set the environment.

Is there any availability of similar option in the new version?

I want to build the sample c project(with standard Makefile system) in DOS command prompt using c16x ti-compiler through command prompt. Please help me.Thanks in advance.

Starting with CCSv4, builds are done using makefiles under the hood and calling gmake. So there is nothing to really "export". You can take the generated makefiles and tweak/manage them youeself. See: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Projects_and_Build_Handbook_for_CCS

Though I'm confused about your comment about a C16x ti-compiler. I am not aware of such a compiler from ti.

Ah ok. Then yes you can try reusing the generated make files.

Hi,

Thanks for the help.

In the makefile generated by CCS tool, I have observed that the syntax of make file is not same as regular make files written in other platforms as LINUX. There are minor differences like "echo syntax, folder creation etc.." .

If it is different from the regular makefile syntax, please guide me for any manuals regarding the Makefile scripting. Thanks in advance.

There may be some syntax that is OS dependent. It is usually paths. You would need to tweak the makefiles to clean that up.
