Hi,

1. Is there any documentation on the TI-RTOS license terms?

2. Is there a function to notify when the TI-RTOS license conditions are changed?

Thanks,

Koki

  • Koki,

Software packages from TI should include a file for the software license as well as a manifest file that contains the version and licenses for any 3rd party software that is included.

If you can let me know which device you are using I can direct your question to the team that is responsible for the software for that device.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi, John

Please tell me the specific location.

Thanks, I use TMS320F28388S. Also how about Question 1,2.

    Thanks,

    Koki

  • Koki,

I am going to send this over to the C2000 team.  They will be able to answer your questions.

Looking at one of my TI-RTOS installs I see the manifest in the root folder of the installation.  FIlename starts with manifest_tirtos... and then the license file is in \docs and the filename is tirtos_license.txt

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi, C2000 Team

I want to know about the following,

    1. Is there any documentation on the TI-RTOS license terms of C2000?

Please tell me the specific location (URL).

    2. Is there a function to notify when the TI-RTOS license conditions are changed?

If I subscribe to alerts, will I be notified of TI-RTOS license changes?

    Thanks,

    Koki

  • Please expect some delay in the response as 31-May is a TI Holiday

  • Only the TI-RTOS kernel (SYS/BIOS) is supported on the F2838x (download page). As John mentioned, you should view the manifest at the root folder of the installation. By default, for SYS/BIOS this is C:/ti/bios_6_83_00_18 on Windows. You can also view the manifest for 6.83.00.18 online here.

  • I don't know of anyway to subscribe to license alerts specifically. You can subscribe to learn when updates are made to the whole package at which point you can check if there were any changes to the manifest.
