eZ430-RF2500 Build

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SIMPLICITI

It seems wrong to take the "out of box" build of the eX430-RF2500 demo kit and not be able to build.

To get Composer Studio to Build the package software I had to make many modifications to the build artifacts and the source code.

This does not seem correct to me. It leaves me lacking in confidence that should I now load the Access Point and End Point just built onto the eZ430 platform I would have a working demo.

Have others had similar "out of the box experiences"? And if so, what can you recommend before I bring up the debugger and download the "out of box" build.

Thanks!

  • What CCS version? I don't remember, but I think there are no problems with eZ430-RF2500 in my experience. It works with CCS4. On CCS5 I have got some compatibility problems. Try to download new version CCS and new version of eZ430-RF2500 demo from ti.com. I have "out of the box experiences" with some demo for msp430 (something with renamed ADC headers), but I do not remember particulars...

PS. eZ430-RF2500 Wireless Sensor Monitor is enough hard coded demo for first example. If you do not want to work with SimpliciTI Compliant Protocol Stack, you can download something more simple. I work with "2500examp.zip" examples from ti.com, but it need some refactoring for eZ430-RF2500 hardware.
