Hello everyone,

I am trying to flash an .out file from SDK to R5F, but I got an error like "no symbol are defined". When I flashed it, I can see assembly code and debug it. I need to see source code and debug via .c code. When I dump the binary using armobjdump I can see debug symbols. In the configuration section, I uploaded .gel file to DMSC M3.

Also when I try to debug a simple .c project, I am getting same issue. How can I fix this situation ?

Hello Leonard, thank you for response.

I am using TDA4. There are 2 domain which are MCU and MPU.

Hi Ahmet,

I would need more details to help you further. From your description, I do not understand the details to help you further.

Can you please answer the following questions?

Specify the SDK version that you are using.
Describe the .out that you are trying to flash - if you are you using the examples from the SDK then provide details.
If you made some changes to the default example, those details will help too.
Flashing the binaries - can you please describe in more detail on what you are doing step by step?

Hello Karthik,

Actually when I try to flash an simple C code, same situation is available, I mean it is not related to SDK I think. Simple code is for example, just main function that has just return. Basic C code. But I couldn't see the source code. Might be there version problem ? I am using CCS 10.3.1 and debugger is XDS220.

I attached the screen shot of error. As you can see, I can see assembly and registers, but couldnt see source code.

Hi Ahmet,

It is still not very clear to me on the steps that you are doing that leads you to this error. Some explanation may help in understanding this.

But anyway, if this is something that you are trying for the first time, I would like you to use the SDK as the starting point and use the simple hello world type of examples (C code) and run them as described in the SDK documentation.
