CODECOMPOSER: Is there a default Build Configuration when launching CCS or importing a new project?

Hi all,

Is there any way to find out what default build configuration is defined when launching CCS or importing a new project?

Does this default configuration applies always when importing the project? I have realized that if I

1.- change the current build configuration of the project

2.- remove project from workspace / close CCS

3.- launch CCS / lmport project again

...the project is not imported with the last build configuration established.

So I guess that there is a default build configuration.

By the other hand, I have realized that the chronological order when the build configurations are created, modifies the .cproject file. In fact, new build configurations are added after the old ones.

So it seems that the first chronological build configuration defined is the default one, but I am not sure at all. Because other colleagues with same CCS version and same project but different computers do not see the same.

I believe it will pick the oldest configuration created. That info would be stored in the project metadata (.cproject)

Yes. Unless it is overridden. To override the default with a different configuration, please see the below post:

It still works for current CCS versions.

Thank you very much for your answer Ki!

I knew about editing the .ccsproject as you refer in the above post, but I am afraid it does not work always (although it works the majority of the time). I have made many tests, and 1 of 10 approximately it fails.

By fail I mean that the current build configuration of the imported project does not match the one overriden in .ccsproject.

If there is not any other configuration files to edit, I believe it must be some kind of bug of CCS or conflict with metadata about active project. There is a link below:

I have only tried a few times so I didn't see any failure. I'll have to try multiple times and see. Are you manually importing it via the GUI?

Using CCS 10.1.1, I have spent the past hour periodically importing a project with an overridden default configuration (maybe around 50 or so attempts). It has worked for me every time. Perhaps try cleaning your workspace before importing.
