Hello,
I've been trying to install CCS v8.3.1.00004 on my Mac but I've been unsuccessful. I keep getting the error below. I can install later versions of CCS like v10.4. Any help installing v8?

David,
CCSv8.3.1 was released a few years ago. I am guessing that you are running a pretty new version of macOS. I get the same message if I try to install on my BigSur machine.
Is there a reason that you need to use 8.3.1 vs a newer CCS version that is supported on newer versions of macOS?

John
David,
I would install CCSv10.4. If the example software from CREE requires an older compiler then you could install that into CCSv10.4 and use it. CCSv8.3.x shipped with the C2000 18.1.x compiler. If you are using CCSv10.4 you can go to the Help menu and select Install Code Generation Compiler Tools and then select to install an older compiler. 18.1 may have issues on BigSur but you should be able to install 18.12.
Are you running macOS BigSur or Catalina? Just a heads up that there are some UI issues with CCS on BigSur. CCSv11 which is due out Oct 1 has fixes for that. With 10.4 you will see some UI issues with rearranging and resizing windows. I can provide a link to the beta version of CCSv11 if desired.

John
David,
Here is a link to an early CCSv11.0.0 beta.

The splash screen still says v10.
