CODECOMPOSER: CCS crashes due to segmentation fault

Hi Team,

Can you help us on this? CCSv10 crashes whenever I try to open the project explore option or any other option located on the left hand side. Upon starting CCS, I receive the following warning message:

(Code Composer Studio:12183): Gtk-WARNING **: 04:50:05.099: Negative content width -7 (allocation 6, extents 6x7) while allocating gadget (node separator, owner GtkSeparatorToolItem)

And when CCS10 crashes, after clicking on project explorer, I see the follow message in the terminal: Segmentation fault

Host pc is Debian 10. Attaching the dmp file created by the crash report if it may help.

I get these also. Many of these type of messages in the console can be ignored.

I tried CCS 10.4.0 on Debian 10 with the latest updates. While I get the warning messages, I don't get any crash when using Project Explorer view.

What version of CCS10 are you using?

Hello Ki,

Thanks for looking into this. We are currently using CCS 10.4.0 with the latest updates as well but we're running into the crash. Would really appreciate your help on anything that should be checked on our end which might be causing this.

Can you also provide your workspace log (<WORKSPACE FOLDER>/.metadata/.log)?

Hello Ki,

We figured to try to reinstall CCS10 for the 4th time. And I believe, for some reason this time a new install fixed my issue. We no longer run into any crash. We can close this thread now.

Glad to hear it is working now, but sorry that you had to reinstall so many times to get a working environment. Hopefully you don't reun into the issue anymore. If you do, please re-open this thread.
