Is there a way in CCS to halt on specific device memory or register writes? Like while debugging to halt if a specific register gets written to. Device is TMS320F28374S.
I have a customer that's seeing erroneous register writes, but is having trouble identifying how/where they're happening. Having a debug feature like this would help debug the issue.

You should be able to do this in CCS with a Hardward Watchpoint. Go to View->Breakpoints, then in that new window click the dropdown next to the bluedot and select HW Watchpoint.
You'll be able to select either a symbol from the project(so if you wanted to watch ADCRESULT0 or something) or input a physical address as well. Once you have done that you can right click on the entry that you created in the window and click properties. It will bring up the below, where you can put data or address masks and change the action when the watchpoint triggers.
Let me know if this gets you and the customer what is needed. This device also has the ERAD module, which we can use if there are some more nuanced actions(or more than 2 watchpoints) required.
