Hello,

I am using the latest version of CCS (v10.4.0.00006, upgraded from v10.3 today) and I have encountered what appear to be multiple bugs when trying to import a project for my target board (TMDSCNCD280049C). For reference, I installed C2000Ware (v3.04.00.00) a months ago.

1. When following Getting Started -> Browse and Import Examples, the C2000Ware path used by the project importer does not match my local path or the C2000Ware path "discovered" by CCS (Windows -> Preferences -> Code Composer Studio -> Products). CCS is adding "_Software" to the path (see image).

2. When I get a list of projects to import, there is no "import" button. Only when I collapse one of the headings does the button appear (see image).

3. When I changed my local C2000Ware path to deal with #1, CCS told me I had to install C2000Ware. I changed the path back to the original and CCS again prompted me to install C2000Ware.

I am assuming that I will eventually find a workaround for all of this but I wanted TI to be aware of these issues (assuming that I am not misunderstanding how the tools work).

Hi ,

Was C2000Ware installed from Resource Explorer or did you download and install it from ti.com?

Also, is this issue specific to CCS v10.4? Can you try the same with CCS 10.3?

Looks like Corey downloaded from ti.com and manually installed it since the C2000Ware is installed in C:\ti\c2000. That is the default install location of the standalone image from ti.com. If installed from Resource Explorer, it would be installed in C:\ti.

Since the standalone image was downloaded from ti.com and installed, the issue is the same as mentioned in the post by Ozino below:

Hello Siddharth,

Sorry for the late reply - I have been out of the office. Ki is correct, I downloaded C2000Ware from the ti site and used all default settings. I have already upgraded to v10.4 so I cannot try to duplicate the behavior on v10.3.

I installed C2000Ware via CCS and it was installed in the C:\ti\C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software path. CCS now correctly shows the import buttons and allows me to import projects.
