Good afternoon,

I am an undergraduate student and I have undertaken a project related to the monitoring of biomedical parameters. From supplied projects I have the ADS1293 EvM at my disposal and I have ordered the appropriate electrodes and an electrocardiogram simulator. Until they come, I would like to use ADS1293 EVM through Code Composer Studio with the help of source code. Since I am a beginner and have no knowledge I would like you to tell me how I can execute some basic commands of ADS1293 EVM with Code Composer software Studio and what I can do in the context of programming. Is there a tutorial or guide that I can follow to get acquainted ??

Regarding the ADS1293EVM, with the program Code Composer Studio what possibilities do I have ??

Hi Sotirios,

We do not have any tutorial or guide specifically for using the ADS1293 EVM with the Code Composer Studio. However, there is a reference guide (SNAA211) which describes the MSP430 interface to the ADS1293 code library. You can find the reference guide and additional information for the ADS1293 reference code in the FAQ link below.

Thank you very much for your prompt response . I have some more questions becausese I am amateur .

I read the reference guide but I don't understand how to import code of ads1293 to Code Composer Studio. May you can tell me what steps do I need to follow exactly to ''see''/interface the ADS1293 EVM through Code Composer Studio??

I have some more questions about Code Composer Studio

1) AS far as Code Composer Studio is concerned , i tried to interface the ADS1293EVM with this programm by following the instructions in SNAA211 reference guide.

When i have to make a new project , i have this dialog box

As far as IAR Workbench is concerned, i tried to interface the ADS1293 EVM by following the steps as describing in the reference guide SNAA211 but in step 7 I got some problems

How i can solve them

Hi Sotirios,

The original MSP430 reference codes for the ADS1293 EVM are developed with the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE and not the Code Composer Studio (CCS). Therefore, the instructions in the app notes are specifically for using the IAR Embedded Workbench. You will need to adapt it to the CCS as required. If you are new to CCS, I suggest starting with CCS User's Guide and some MSP430 examples before using the reference C/C++ code provided. Please see the link below for all the resources for CCS.

Most of the errors you see are dependencies issues. You may have to point the CCS to the correct paths for these libraries.

Thank you very much for your response and your help .

As far as errors are concerned,the last five photos screenshots are errors which got them by IAR Embedded Workbench IDE. How i can solve these errors. Mau you can give me instructions how to continue ??

yes i followed all the stepsinstructions which are given by the datasheet and when i choose rebuild all , i got these errors.

what else do i need to do to solve the problem and continue ??

Hi Sotirios,

Please make sure you pointed to the correct path for the include folder in Step 5(b). I am able to recompile the demo-app01 code without any issue following the instructions.

can you explain me what $PROJ_DIR$/ means??

I think that I have all the files in desktop , so what I have to add ??

Hi Sotirios,

$PROJ_DIR$ will be the path where the include/ folder is located. Please see my setting window below. For my example, the code/include/ folder is located in my C:\IAR\code\include\.
