CODECOMPOSER: Project Wizard doesn't show examples for MSP-EXP432P401R

I recently downloaded CCS11 and started working on a project that uses MSP-EXP432P401R Launchpad REV 2.0. The device is recognized by CCS however, even though I downloaded and manually installed SimpleLink MSP432P4 SDK 3.40.01.02 and added it to Window -> Preferences -> Code Composer Studio -> Products, when I click on Getting Started -> Browse and Import Examples it does not show me the examples from this SDK. Is there something else I need to do to make this board available to CCS11?

I have also tried using Resource Explorer however it only has Software for SimpleLink MSP432E4 SDK 4.20.00.12 and I can find no way to add as new "Package" to the Resource Explorer. I would think the Package Manager would allow for importing of an SDK but it doesn't seem to have a "New" or "Add" button. Is there a way to add this board/SDK to the Resource Explorer?

Hi David,

We don't recommended MSP432P401 for new design. If you want resource of MSP432P, please reach out to your TI sales representative for direct support and technical content access.

So are you saying that CCS no longer supports MSP432P401? I don't have a sales representative unless you count Mouser as a sales representative. I am trying to port an existing product developed on the MSP432P401 to either tirtos or freertos. I was given a breadboard product using the MSP432P401 and this seemed like a reasonable approach.

For reasons which are not clear, the TI Resource Explorer is no longer showing the SimpleLink MSP432P4 SDK.

I haven't yet tried that with CCS 11.

Super helpful. I had the SDK installed so I could compile the older examples I had created under CCS10 but I was not able to figure out how to create a new example from the SDK templates. The key was using the *Import Wizard* not the "Project Wizard" or the "Resource Explorer"...how confusing. This gets me moving! Thanks again.
