CCSv4 update 4.2.3 Memory window bar address box screwed up and Cache viewing boxes missing

Although the exact scenario did not happen to me, I have found in the past that when upgrading CCS but still using the workspace of the previous version sometimes lead to some strange behaviour of the debugger. Can you check the General IDE and Debugger troubleshooting suggestions of the page below?

I tried GUI troubleshoot items

1. Reset the perspective:

2. Use the -clean argument when calling eclipse.exe:

3. Clean the workspace (or try using a new one):

Same problem.

and tried DEBUG troubleshoot items

2. Delete the debug "launch":

3. Delete target cache files:

Same problem.

Could it be that I upgraded from 4.2.1 and not from a clean 4.2.2 install?

My co-worker has also upgraded and suffers the same malaise.

I also installed 4.2.3 on a brand new XP PC in the lab. Same problem.

Maybe the DSP type has something to do with it. We are using the C6472 EVM.

I've seen this issue reported before. It has nothing to do with the DSP type. But it was something that we've never been able to reproduce. I'm looking for more details and will post them here if I find any.

Are you using windows XP with classic theme by any chance? If yes, could you try windows XP theme?

Changing to Windows XP theme fixed the mem addr box, but I still don't see the cache check boxes.
