Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hi,

Currently we are using CCS 6.0(code composer version) with ARM compiler 5.1.6 and HalCoGen 4.03.00  on windows 7 OS. Recently we upgraded our OS to windows 10 as well as Code composer Studio 11 version but with old ARM compiler 5.1.6 and HalcoGen 4.03.00. it is compiled successfully.

But binaries from windows 10 and windows 7 are different even though we are using same old compilers. is it safe to use the binary on windows 10??what things you need to concern or check whether new binary is safe or not??

Or is it recommended on win10 to use the latest CCS, compiler and HalCoGen on Win10 for the RM48?”

  • Older compilers, such as the TI Arm compiler version 5.1.6, are 32-bit Windows executables.  Recent compilers are 64-bit Windows executables.  32-bit executables work fine on Windows 10.  Many customers use them on a regular basis.

I don't know these details regarding HalCoGen.  Though I suspect it is the same.

    Thanks and regards,
