TMDSLCDK6748: Not Recognized in CCS

Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who is working with TMDSLCDK6748. Please see below his query for your reference. Thank you very much.

I am looking for support using CCS v11 with my C6748 LCDK. It doesn't seem to be supported in CCS v11, but I want to confirm that here. The development board that I'm using is the TMDSLCDK6748. The actual chip on the board reads TMS320C6748. CCS can't read the board.

By the way, I did a full installation (all options selected) of CCS v11. UniFlash also doesn't seem to support this dev board, so I am wondering if there is something I'm missing here. My DIP switch configuration is set to the quick start configuration (which didn't work).

I don't have a TMDSLCDK6748 to try, but looking at a CCS v11.0 installation it still shows the LCDKC6748 "Texas Instruments C6748 Low Cost Development Kit" as a known board.

How is the customer trying to get CCS to connect to the board?

The L138/C6748 development kit (LCDK) (Rev. A) (user guide) contains the following in the list of features:

14-pin JTAG header (No onboard emulator; external emulator is required)

Why do you think that it is not supported in CCSv11? Are you not finding it? Getting an error? Note that it is not supported on CCS for macOS but it is supported on Windows and Linux. As Chester pointed out this board does not have an onboard debug probe. You need to have an external debug probe to connect to the 14pin JTAG header.

UniFlash is primarily used for programming on-chip flash, such as found on microcontrollers.
