RTSC Project creation fails in CCS4.2.3

Any ideas for a work-around?  Different combination of options?

  • Lee,

I could create the exact project here in my PC (check attached). The differences are that I am creating it in a local drive (yours is mapped) and I have CGT 7.2.1 (it shouldn't matter for this case).

I would first investigate the permissions of the mapped drive: if it is read-only, it may be preventing the project to be properly created. Also, I would try to create the project for a different platform and see if it is an issue with the XDC installation itself.

It could also be related to the current workspace. Can you try to open a different workspace and create this project? If it creates ok, then I would run CCS with the -clean option to clear out any possible issues with the original workspace.

Did you have this issue before?

ITERUM IN HAC VIA' IMUS: --> Getting the TI tools to work as advertised seems to be a never ending exercise in futility.

I do not think the issue is one of file permissions as CCS4 created a project directory in my workspace and wrote files to it.  I tryed creating in a different workspace, one on my local drive, but all of the 8168 platforms produced the same error.  I'm currently downloading CCS5.0.2 for Windows to see whether it fixes the problem.

Update: CCS5.0.2 successfully created my project.

Update Secundum:  I installed CCS4.2.3 on another laptop running Windows 7 and it executed flawlessly.  There is a problem with the emulation support on 5.0.2 as it doesn't have the correct settings for the c6a816x EVM, so I am going to attempt a clean reinstall of CCS4.2.3 on my Windows XP machine.

Update tertia:  CCS4.2.3 is now working fine.  On to other problems.

CCSv5.0.3 will be released soon and will fix some issues with the C6A816x device configurations.

  • Salve Rafael

I changed back to CCS 4.2.3 as a clean install apparently fixed the problem.  Also, CCS 5.0.2 crashed when installed on a machine running Windows 7.
