Runtime Object View does not work on AM64x&AM243-LP FreeRtos project.

Hello TI,

I am developing the FreeRtos project on AM64X&AM243-LP&AM243-EVM development boards using CCS1100.

I also use mcu_plus_sdk_am64x_08.01.00.26 sdk. When I want to use View->Other->ROV Tool, when I click on ROV->Import a dasboard C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am64x_08_01_00_26\examples\kernel\freertos\posix_freertos\posix_freertos\ar_fs-evocm0ng (syscfg_c.rov.xs) I can't find ..rov.json file.

ROV only accepts json files. What should I do to be able to run the ROV? Where can I find an example .rov.json file? Thank you.

Hi Mehmet,

Have follow the instructions in AM243x MCU+ SDK: Using SDK with Real-time Object View (ROV)? Maybe you want to download and install the MCU+ SDK 08.01.00.36 for AM243x and try again?

The syscfg_c.rov.xs is at C:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_08_01_00_36\examples\kernel\freertos\posix_demo\am243x-lp\r5fss0-0_freertos\ti-arm-clang.

Hi Ming,

I think something was misunderstood. There is only .xs file in the file path you shared. Like the picture I shared below, ROV only accepts .json files.

The following information is included in the Introduction Runtime Object View document....

"If your SDK or TI-RTOS installation does not include dashboard files in the TI-RTOS example projects, you can download and then import a `Sample ROV Dashboard File <Media:sample.rov.zip>`.

Note: another possible source of ROV dashboards is the TI E2E Community, where you may be provided with a dashboard file for use in debugging an issue with your target application"

How can I fix this problem?Where can I download the specified .zip file?

Hi Mehemt,

You do not need to open a dashboard in ROV. When you are popped with the "Get Started" dialog, simply click "Close"., then use the drop down menu in "OS Kernel" to display different ROV objects (Task Instances, Memory Log etc.)

Please follow the instructions in "AM243x MCU+ SDK: Using SDK with Real-time Object View (ROV)"
