CCS is not working on Linux

I am using CCS studios 11.1.0 on my Linux work station, and recently it has stopped working. When I try to open it the logo displays as usual, but then nothing appears and the CCS icon on the side becomes a screen with a red circle(see attached image). I am not sure what caused this issue. The only thing I did before experiencing this issue was change my desktop user name, reset the machine so the change would take place, and down load the MCU_PLUS_SDK repository,

This is likely the issue. CCS will cache a lot of data in the user's home folder. If you are using the same workspace folder as you were using before the name change, then that would be a problem since the workspace folder likely has references to the original home folder name.
