Hi Experts,
I'm looking at the CCS software manifest, ECCN(number) cannot be found. Manifest says "publicly available".
CCS V8.31
CCS V9
CCS V10
CCS V11

Is it correct that CCS is open source and don't have an ECCN(number)?
Best regards,
Rei

Rei,
Code Composer Studio is made available under a TSPA (Technology Software Publicly Available) compliant license. Bascially it is available under license terms will very minimal restrictions. While much of CCS is open source it is not fully open source. Open source software typically falls in the same export classification. I.e. software that is freely available to the public.
The explanation provided here may be helpful: https://research.mit.edu/integrity-and-compliance/export-control/information-documents/publicly-available-public-domain-open
If you need to list an ECCN for CCS you can list 3D991.

John
Hi John,
Thank you for your information. Customers are using CCS with the SimpleLink SDK and would like to know their ECCN.
The manifest of the Simplelink SDK also says "Publicly Available". Could you tell me about these ECCNs?
