Is there any support in place or planned for Eclipse/CCSv4 for the MKS version control system? (www.mks.com) If it is supported through Eclipse, will the plugin work w/ CCSv4 (or possibly v3 or v5 in the future)?

It looks like it is already supported:

CCSv4 is based off Eclipse 3.2. Looking at the above link of supported IDE's:
Eclipse 3.2.x, 3.3.x, 3.4.x, 3.5.x1 English & Japanese
It looks promising.

Thanks for the link - very helpful info. Which version of CCS going to stick w/ the baseline Eclipse. I know the plan is to stay with the main trunk in order to be able to support the mainline updates and plugins. I'm not sure if they are already doing that with v4, or if that's going to be the plan moving forward with v5.
Mena,
We don't provide support for this specific system. However, I searched on the MKS site and found they support several versions of open source Eclipse.
From a TI standpoint, our strategy is to make CCS less intrusive with the open source Eclipse and therefore avoid compatibility issues with third party plugins.
That said, CCSv4 has several changes to the open source Eclipse 3.2 (the version used by it) therefore there is a greater chance the plug in will work with the new CCSv5, which uses versions 3.6/3.7 and has no compatibility breaks with the open source Eclipse.
Hope this helps,
Rafael
