Linux command line installation fails

they are using Debian 10 (Buster) but I believe this should be very similar to Ubuntu.

kernel version : 5.5.7 

unfortunately, the removal of Segger option still doesn’t solve nor the unattended mode.

devel@hc3dfi:~/test/CCS11.2.0.00007_linux-x64$ ./ccs_setup_11.2.0.00007.run --enable-components PF_SITARA --mode unattended

Have you tested with this linux version?

I just tried it out and it installed fine:

What desktop environment is the customer using? For example, I am using GNOME (default). They may be using a different desktop. In that case, have them try switching to GNOME

Our customer is not using any desktop environment. It’s a command-line only installation which connects over SSH.

No LSB modules are available.

 is there any installation logfile stored on disk?

The unattended mode should have helped in this case. Though Debian is not a supported environment.

Note that there are some dependencies that need to be resolved before installing CCS. The installer typically will indicate what is needed:

However installing unattended would not display this information. They may want to try installing on a Debian enviroment with a desktop to determine the dependencies.

Again, note that Debian is not an officially supported environment. Hence there is limited support we can provide.

It would be really helpful to just have a list of the dependencies. It's tediuous to reinstall a special XWindows install of Debian just to see the depencency list.

It's likely similar to what is needed for Ubuntu:

Note that Debian is not officially supported by CCS. Hence we don't have a documented list of dependencies specific to Debian.

Is it the following libraries?

• update system: sudo apt update
• install dependent libraries: sudo apt install libc6-i386 libusb-0.1-4 libgconf-2-4 libncurses5 libpython2.7 libtinfo5

Do you know the root cause of the error code :

Error: There has been an error.
Text mode is not supported. Please set your display and run the installer again.

Maybe this helps us pinpoint the right dependencies?

The error is because there is no display configured for your linux environment.

However, people have installed CCS on linux server environments before that had no display configured. These were mostly Ubuntu environments
